Nichrome Inoculation Loops for Microbiology | Calibrated and Uncalibrated with Handle

Nichrome Inoculation Loops for Microbiology
Inoculation loops manufactured in nickel-chromium alloy for microbiological applications. Nichrome outperforms traditional platinum-rhodium loops in cycle durability and cost per unit. Polished surface — free of surface irregularities that could retain inoculum. Rapid cooling after flame sterilisation.
Available Models
- Mod. A and B — Uncalibrated, handleless: Loops supplied without handle to reduce cost and storage footprint. Presented in tubes of 25 units, labelled with code, description and lot number.
- Mod. C and D — Calibrated: Supplied individually in a screw-cap tube with skirt, labelled with code, description and lot number. For protocols requiring a defined inoculation volume.
- Mod. F and G — Uncalibrated with integrated handle: Lightweight 275 mm aluminium handle, partially coated with clear insulating plastic. Mod. F in green, mod. G in gold.
- Mod. E — Universal handle (150 mm): PVC and aluminium handle compatible with all handleless models. Screw-thread coupling.
Nichrome vs Platinum-Rhodium
Nickel-chromium alloy withstands more flame sterilisation cycles without degradation and costs considerably less. The polished surface does not retain inocula. Cooling time after flaming is faster than platinum.
