Preparation and Use
Freeze the block for 24 h at -20 °C/-25 °C before use. Once removed from the freezer, the block holds -20 °C to -15 °C for 2 hours—sufficient to pipette a full 96-well plate without polymerase degradation.
Routinely used in molecular biology, genomics and diagnostic laboratories for PCR and qPCR setup away from the freezer.
Why Use This Block
Thermolabile enzymes lose activity quickly at ambient temperature. This cooler addresses that without occupying thermocycler space or requiring a power source.
Yellow colour simplifies identification when multiple cooling blocks are in use simultaneously.
