Colourless, viscous liquid, fully miscible with water and most polar organic solvents. Boiling point 232 °C. Low vapour pressure minimises volatility during handling and transfer. Used as a solvent, humectant, plasticiser and carrier in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and chemical formulations. Compatible with HDPE and stainless steel containers.

Typical Applications
