When to Use
Whenever the sample is volatile or susceptible to evaporation during measurement time. Quartz is required when the working method includes the ultraviolet range — standard optical glass absorbs below 320 nm and is not suitable.
Commonly used in biochemistry, pharmaceutical, environmental analytical and quality control laboratories running UV-based methods.
Why Quartz and Not Glass
LB Q quartz transmits from 200 nm — covering the full UV range and extending to 2500 nm in the near-infrared. No interference from cuvette material at any wavelength within the standard working range.
