Plastic burette PMMA body self-lubricating PTFE stopcock
Burette with transparent PMMA body and self-lubricating PTFE stopcock. A practical alternative to glass for aggressive reagents or conditions where breakage is a concern.
Materials and construction
- Body:Transparent PMMA for distortion-free visibility
- Stopcock:Self-lubricating PTFE—no grease required
- Chemical resistance:Dilute acids and bases
- Incompatible with:Concentrated HCl and concentrated NaOH
When to use it
With reagents that attack glass. In teaching environments where glassware breakage is frequent. In field work or where replacement of fragile materials is not straightforward.
