Plastic hinged-lid box for vials, freezable -130 °C to +130 °C, autoclavable polypropylene
In stock
Hinged-lid vial box, freezable polypropylene -130 °C / +130 °C
Polypropylene box with integrated hinged lid for vial storage under extreme cold conditions or following autoclave sterilisation. Single-piece construction: the lid does not detach from the body.
Features
- Material: Polypropylene (PP)
- Temperature range: -130 °C to +130 °C
- Autoclavable: Yes, compatible with standard cycles at 121 °C
- Closure: Integrated hinged lid — no loose parts
- Intended use: Vial storage and organisation
Typical applications
Cryogenic dewars and ultra-low temperature freezers at -80 °C or in liquid nitrogen. Also used in incubation ovens and autoclaves where vials need to be kept grouped before or after processing. Common in cell biology, microbiology and biobank laboratories.
PP performance at extreme cold
Polypropylene retains its structure down to -130 °C without becoming brittle, unlike many other plastics. Does not absorb moisture, does not interact with most buffers and culture media, and withstands repeated freeze-thaw cycles without deformation.
Technical specifications
