PTFE Thermometer Adapter with Viton Seal

Thermometer adapter with a pure PTFE body and Viton seal retention system. Designed for setups where chemical resistance is the primary requirement and rubber or silicone adapters are not a viable option.

Materials

• Body: Pure PTFE — inert to acids, bases and organic solvents
• Retention seal: Viton — leak-tight sealing with resistance to elevated temperatures

Applications

Distillation and reflux assemblies with aggressive solvents. Temperature monitoring in reactions involving concentrated acids or halogenated media. Any application where a standard rubber adapter degrades or contaminates the process.

Why PTFE and Viton

PTFE handles almost everything — sulphuric acid, nitric acid, acetone, chloroform, THF. No swelling, no plasticiser leaching, no residues in the medium. The Viton seal completes the assembly: better chemical resistance than neoprene or standard silicone, and retains grip without deforming under heat.
