Aluminium vs. cast iron

Aluminium weighs less than cast iron — the assembly sits more balanced on the stand and places less stress on the boss head. The acid-resistant surface treatment protects against vapours from common laboratory acids and bases. Does not rust with ambient humidity.

Installation
