Applications

Distillation and fractional distillation assemblies, vacuum lines, sublimations and any application where vacuum grease would contaminate the system or interfere with the process. Particularly useful in organic synthesis and fine chemistry where grease contamination cannot be tolerated.

Also recommended when working with solvents that dissolve or soften conventional ground glass greases.

Advantages Over Greased Glass Joints

Vacuum grease can contaminate the product, migrate into the system and make disassembly difficult after prolonged heating. PTFE joints eliminate that problem — assemblies come apart cleanly, with no residue and no seized joints.
