Glass Fibre-Reinforced Polyamide Spatula
Laboratory spatula manufactured in glass fibre-reinforced polyamide (PA). The go-to piece when metal is not an option — sensitive samples, surfaces that must not be scratched, or reagents incompatible with steel.
Construction and Material
- Material: Glass fibre-reinforced polyamide (PA)
- Finish: Smooth, non-porous surface
- Rigidity: Glass fibre reinforcement prevents flex under load — a common failure point in unreinforced plastic spatulas
Applications
Weighing on analytical and precision balances. Transfer of powdered, granular or crystallised reagents. Handling of samples that must not be contaminated with trace metals — catalysts, ICP samples, high-purity reagents.
Also suitable where there is a risk of scratching delicate surfaces or generating sparks in controlled atmospheres.
Cleaning and Compatibility
The smooth PA surface does not trap residues between fibres — rinse with water or an appropriate solvent. Compatible with common laboratory reagents. Verify specific chemical compatibility against aggressive solvents or concentrated acids before prolonged use.
