Why the false bottom

The false bottom raises the available sample level at the analyser needle — enables correct aspiration at minimum volumes without running dry. It also reserves space at the base for tube coding, so adhesive labels or barcodes do not interfere with level detection.

Applications

Direct primary sampling from the collection tube. Secondary sampling when aliquoting into a daughter tube for the analyser. Transport and collection of biological samples in clinical and hospital laboratories.
